Brenda is a dedicated mixed media artist located in Harrogate, England, who specializes in epoxy resin, oil paint, acrylics, inks, woodworking, and digital art. With a background in prosthetics and special effects, she is primarily self-taught and has been part of the art industry for 30 years. Brenda has collaborated with galleries throughout the UK and has participated in numerous fairs and exhibitions. Besides her artistic creations, she conducts engaging workshops at Herd Art Studio, nurturing a lively community of creativity and collaboration.

Hamish is a professional artist based in Harrogate, where he lives with his wife Brenda and their family. In his mid twenties, after teaching art at Red Hill Primary, he discovered a strong passion for the art world, which ignited his journey to become a professional artist. He enjoys creating and experimenting with various visual art forms, always ready to embrace new challenges in sculpting, painting, and design. Additionally, Hamish conducts interactive workshops at Herd Art Studio, nurturing a vibrant community centered around creativity and collaboration.

Daughter of Hamish and Brenda, she currently lives in Harrogate as a dedicated stay-at-home mom who also creates beautiful pastel artworks on the side. Her creations range from whimsical UK wildlife-inspired pieces to detailed portraits of John Lennon. She’s continually immersed in her artistic process, always busy working on her next pastel masterpiece.
The story of Herd Art Studio
Nestled in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, Herd Art is a family-operated art studio. Professional artists Hamish and Brenda paint original works showcased and sold in galleries throughout the UK, as well as on their website. Originally from South Africa, Hamish and Brenda discovered their passion for art early in life. Hamish specializes in Sculpture and dramatic Sky Scapes and Sea Scapes, while Brenda focuses on Mixed Media Paintings and Resin Abstracts. Together, they aim to evoke emotive and personal connections with each piece. Their artistic legacy continues with their children, who are cultivating their own unique artistic talents, soon to be featured here. Committed to excellence, they strive to create each artwork as a masterpiece.
